At NSA Northwest, we want to do our part to influence greening practices. It starts with baby steps. We encourage our NSA Community to share with us what they are doing to in their business to be green. What can we do to be more environmentally conscious.
Here are a handful of things we are doing to be more green:

Reducing paper usage
• No agenda handouts – use on dry erase board to post our agenda
• No flip charts, use on dry erase board
• Limited handouts- use computers -wifi – we can post our notes online in real time
• If we need to print, we print double-sided sheets
• Board communication is via online software (37 Signals Basecamp)
• On-line registration
• Reuse name badges
• Online directories
• Online membership packet

Marketing Materials
• Business cards recycled paper, soy ink
• Postcards – recycled paper
• NSA Signs- laminated and reused

Miscellaneous
• Use bulk sugars, instead of packets
• Recycle bins
• Reminding attendees to bring their own mug
• We are actively promoting carpooling and have a map with everyone’s location to make it easier to coordinate
